It’s crazy how so many women are told after their 6/8 week postpartum checkup, that they can go ahead and do everything they have been doing before pre pregnancy. They are left not knowing a thing about what their body has just gone through and how to properly regain pelvic floor and core function. A lot of the time, women are left thinking that the “mummy tummy” is normal and that incontinence is now normal after kids. Sometimes, there are major issues including a prolapse uterus, Diastasis recti and pain during sex. This isn’t normal and it can be treated. That is where a pelvic floor physiotherapist is so important in addition to your OB doctor. This is also where my BB Bundle can help. It’s a 16 week program where I help teach you the fundamentals you need to regain your strength properly after having a baby, and the knowledge you need to carry on past the fourth trimester. My bundle is geared toward women who just had a baby, but it is also great for any women who gave birth 5, 10, 30 years ago who never actually addressed any of the issues above. It is absolutely never too late to learn the proper exercises and fundamentals to regain core and pelvic floor function!
